More · What Is A Prosthodontist

The specialist
who rebuilds
smiles.

A prosthodontist is a dentist with years of extra training in restoring and replacing teeth — the expert for implants, dentures, crowns and full-mouth reconstruction.

Balanced together

Think of a prosthodontist as the architect of the smile. They specialise in how teeth look, fit and work together — and in rebuilding them when they're worn, broken or missing.

Every dentist completes dental school. A prosthodontist then completes an additional three or more years of specialty training, focused entirely on the restoration and replacement of teeth. It's one of a small number of recognised dental specialties.

So what does that mean for you?

It means the trickier work — multiple implants, a full arch, a bite that's collapsing, a smile makeover that has to last — is handled by someone who does exactly that, every day, rather than referred elsewhere.

"A general dentist maintains teeth. A prosthodontist rebuilds them."
